The property market, the breeze, the number of agents, the new high-breaking cable in September

After the number of licensees reached a record high for nine consecutive months, the uptrend was finally broken. According to the statistics of the Estate Agents Authority (hereinafter referred to as the Lands Supervision Bureau), as of the end of December 2018, there were 40,123 licensed agents in Hong Kong, a decrease of 19 (about 0.05%). In the whole year of 2018, the number of licensed agents increased by 1,851 from the year of 2017 to 38,272, an increase of about 4.8%. According to estimates by Centaline Property, in December 2018, there were 3,030 registrations of buildings (including residential, industrial and commercial shops and parking spaces), that is, an average of about 13.24 agents for one transaction.
