City Kai Tak Road Project

City Kai Tak Road Project

The Urban Renewal Authority launched the Kai Tak Road/Sha Po Road Development Project (hereinafter referred to as the Kai Tak Road Project) in Kowloon City in February this year. It also submitted a draft development plan to the Town Planning Board. It is proposed to occupy an area of about 65,700 square feet. Reconstructed into 3 38-story (including 5 storey basement), providing 810 residential units for approximately 1940 people. The Town Planning Board will discuss the development plan today and the Planning Department will not object.

The Planning Department pointed out that the development plan of the URA has a plot ratio of 9 times which is in line with the planning intention of the site. The URA has proposed to relax the height limit of the site from 100 metres to 120 metres (above the main level benchmark). The Planning Department considers that the relaxation of the height limit will help widen the spacing between the north and central parts of the site. The related landscapes, together with the relevant departments, have no insurmountable problems in the areas of environment, transport and drainage. Related development plans.
