Sham Shui Po built data center to restart

The data center in Sham Shui Po has started its research in the last four years. The government is bidding for the construction of the new building and plans to apply for funding from the Legislative Council Finance Committee by the middle of this year.

The government yesterday submitted a document to the Sham Shui Po District Council to build a new building on King Lam Street in Cheung Sha Wan. The building is 13 stories high and has a building area of about 13,800 square meters. After the project is completed, it will provide about 1,400 computer racks and 24-hour service. The Government said that the Security Key Infrastructure Security Coordination Center has provided security design advice. The new building will have multiple security measures covering such areas as perimeter entrances, data center buildings, floors, machine rooms, data center halls and cabinets, etc. Security verification system and closed-circuit television, providing strict security monitoring.
