Yuen Long to build a niche planning agency does not support

Tsuen Wo Building offers a 5,000-site niches at the site of the Lok Fu Shan in Yuen Long. The scheme is not supported by the Planning Department.

The site is located at Lot No. 1682, Lau Fau Shan, covering an area of about 29,500 square feet. It plans to build four 1-to-2-storey buildings with 5,000 ashes, covering 4,306 square feet of floor space.

The Planning Department considers that there is no strong reason to show that there is a need to change the existing recreational use and that no report reflects that the program will not adversely affect the surrounding environment and traffic and does not support the program. The application will be considered by the Town Planning Board on Friday.
