Jones Lang LaSalle: 62% of retailers intend to expand

Rentback callback, to attract retail brand expansion. Jones Lang LaSalle’s latest survey found that 62% of international and local retailers planned to open new stores in Hong Kong in 2018.

Jones Lang LaSalle conducted a questionnaire survey with 50 international and local retailers in June and found that half of the respondents believed that the retail market in Hong Kong would recover next year. Although all retailers agree that street rents are still too high, 62% of retailers have expansion plans, half of them choose to shop in the mall, the other half tend to street shops.
