Tianwan Mountain Road Renovation House Deliberation on Friday

To speed up the resettlement of Yuk Kwang Village, the Planning Department proposes to rezone a government site at the junction of Shek Pai Wan Road and Tin Wan Shan Road for residential purposes and build about 600 people for resettlement. During the consultation period, it was opposed by community groups. The material city plan will maintain the original plan.

The Town Planning Board reviewed the “Aberdeen and Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan” this Friday. The Planning Department proposed to convert a government site at the junction of Shek Pai Wan Road and Tin Wan Shan Road to “Residential (Group A)” land. About 600 public companies were set up as the land for the relocation of YuGuangCun, and if YuGuangCun is rebuilt, it is expected to provide about 1,400 public units.

The Concern Group in Central District and the tactile sensation of environmental protection expressed opposition and thought it would affect the surrounding traffic and the environment. The Planning Department said that development will not adversely affect the nearby traffic, environment and infrastructure. It is considered that the redevelopment of the area is appropriate and can help the reconstruction of Yuguang Village and does not support the submission of relevant objections.
