The core area of Jipu is only 5.6%, the new low in recent years.

Meilian Industrial and Commercial Bureau statistics show that the current core area of Jipu fell to 5.6%, which is a new low in recent years, reflecting the improvement in retail market conditions, and the second half of the year is stable.

Retail sales are improving. The vacancy rate is expected to be 4.5% next year.

At the beginning of this quarter, the Midland Industrial and Commercial Store conducted a survey of the distribution of the Jipu and merchant industries in the four core areas of Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and Central. It involved 156 streets in four core districts with a total of 7,288 street shops. According to Chen Haowei, an analyst at the Midland Industrial and Commercial Bureau Information Research Department, a total of 408 stores were recorded in the four core districts, with a vacancy rate of 5.6%, down 3.2 percentage points year-on-year, a record low since 2016, reflected in rents. Under the callback, many merchants have re-expanded.

A total of 117 Kyrgyz shops were recorded in Mong Kok, four districts, with a vacancy rate of 3.5%, the lowest of the four districts.
