The Fu Wei Group, under the chairman of PCCW (00008), announced that it has leased to Chang Shi (01113) the historic hotel in the former Marine Police Headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui, which has been revitalized as Hong Kong’s cultural tourism shopping landmark 1881 Heritage. It was officially renamed as 1881. In addition, the new hotel project in North Point of Changshi is named Lishan Hotel and is expected to open in the third quarter of this year.

The Historic Site in 1881 Heritage, Tsim Sha Tsui, formerly known as the Haley Mansion, was leased by Fu Wei and renamed 1881, consisting of a boutique hotel and 5 different dining concepts. The 1881 Mansion will gradually complete the renovation project in the coming months, including the launch of a new catering concept and room upgrades. The project is scheduled to be completed in April. The project will be held in May to celebrate the completion of the event and a new direction.

Wei Wei, chief customer and marketing director of Fuwei Group, said that by renting 1881 residences, it is possible to conserve this important cultural landmark and strengthen contact with the community. The Group will make good use of the gardens of the 1881 Mansion and the surrounding outdoor gardens to host a series of regular events to showcase its long history and unique charm to the public and visitors.

Alexandra Hotel offers 840 rooms.

In addition, the new hotel in Changsha’s North Point City Garden Road is officially named Lishan Hotel, offering a total of 840 rooms, with a fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, multi-purpose venue and dining facilities, which will be managed by Haiyi International Hotel Group. The Lishan Hotel is located on the Victoria Harbour. About 60% of the rooms have views of Victoria Harbour. The hotel design concept incorporates creativity into European classics to create a gorgeous and dreamy style. The hotel is conveniently located with the connected covered footbridge and it takes only about two minutes to reach the MTR Fortress Hill Station.

Cheung Seng said that the Lishan Hotel is adjacent to the Group’s Hong Kong Island Harbour Grand Hotel and enjoys synergy. The Group will adhere to the principle of providing quality services to its guests and is confident in the business prospects of the hotel.
