The local supervision bureau received complaints from overseas authorities for 4 years and 52 cases.

According to the data of the Transport and Housing Bureau, a total of 52 overseas complaints were received between 2015 and 2018. Most of the properties involved in the property were located in the United Kingdom. The agency company was fined 3,000 yuan.

According to the Housing Authority, the above 52 complaints involved 35 licensees and 26 non-licensed persons/companies, and the properties involved were located in Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Mainland. Half of the properties are located in the UK.

More than half of the complaints related to the UK building

The Land Regulatory Authority has disciplined a licensed estate agent for one of the complaints that occurred in 2018.

In the case, the agent did not follow the guidelines of the Lands Bureau and in the promotion of the UK property advertisements, stating whether the purchaser would acquire the land rights and so on. Therefore, the Authority was condemned and fined $3,000.

4 Case investigations Some licensees involved

For the remaining 51 complaint cases, 4 cases are still under investigation involving 2 licensees/companies and 2 non-licensed persons/companies.

The Lands Supervision Bureau issued a practice notice for the sale of uncompleted properties outside Hong Kong last year. As of the end of March this year, it received 11 complaints.
