The Civil Engineering and Development Department has previously completed a tender for the “Feasibility Study on Site Formation and Infrastructure Works for Public Housing Development in Wong Tai Sin Yingfengli, Wong Tai Sin Community Centre and Ngau Chi Wan Village”, which will commence research this month for a period of 18 It is expected to be completed in July 2021, involving about 6,885,500 yuan in research costs.

Niuchiwan Village is one of the 3 urban squatter villages that the government intends to recover. The rest include Chaguoling Village in Kwun Tong and Zhuyuan Lianhe Village in Wong Tai Sin. A total of 6,300 public housing units can be provided, including Chaguo. Lingcun Village has the largest area, covering an area of about 4.65 hectares. It is estimated that 3,300 units can be provided after redevelopment. However, due to the complicated ownership, it is estimated that it will take more than 10 years to complete the unit.
