Kai Tak Commercial Land Apply for additional hotel
Nanfeng Group won the Kai Tak commercial site for more than 24.6 billion yuan two years ago. The group applied for the addition of a hotel and provided about 73 hotel rooms. The Planning Department has no objection to the above application. Today, the Town Planning Board will review it and it is expected that the opportunity will be passed.
The total area of the site is about 205,000 square feet. The original plan was to build two commercial buildings, providing about 1.172 million office buildings and 70 square feet of retail floor space. As for the new proposal, the area of 5.9 million will be changed to hotel use. As a result, the office building will be reduced to approximately 111 million, but the total area of 191.2 will remain unchanged.
In the next two buildings, the main building will be 47 stories high with 4 storeys, and the basement will connect to the shopping street at Kai Tak Station on Shatin. In 2017, Nanfeng won the No. 2 commercial site of Kai Tak 1F District, setting a record for the highest land price of commercial land in Hong Kong, making it a commercial king. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.
