Some institutions have a low food and living index. Survey: Bay Area Employment and Savings is not far from Hong Kong

Dawan District employment is considered as one of the choices for Hong Kong students after graduation

Some surveys found that the starting salary of Hong Kong graduates last year ranged from HK$13,376 to HK$17,010. In Dawan District, the entry salary of university graduates was 4,614-6,729 yuan. According to the survey agency, the pay gap still depends on the type of work and the region. For example, Shenzhen labor is higher than Huizhou and Zhongshan. Although the Mainland’s work pay is lower than that of Hong Kong, Hong Kong’s living standards are high, making the monthly income ratio higher than the mainland. Therefore, the actual gap is not large.

Hong Kong salary of 13,000 to 17,000 Bay Area 4614 to 6729 people

The Human Resources Strategy and Development Research Centre of the School of Business Administration of the University of Hong Kong, the Human Resource Management Research Centre of the School of Business Administration of South China University of Technology and the Hong Kong Talent Management Association jointly conducted a survey of the salaries and benefits of Hong Kong and the Mainland from July to September, from 97 local organisations and 63 cities in Guangdong Province obtained data, the survey covered this

The number of employees in the area is 109,619 and the number of employees in the Mainland is 61,562. Among the 11 surveyed industries, local college graduates who graduated last year were artificially higher in the engineering field, with an average monthly salary of HK$17,010. In the same industry, in 2018, the entrance of college students in Dawan District was 5,265 yuan. Other industries also see different levels of artificial gaps (see table).

The salary increase in the Mainland is large. The pay gap is gradually narrowing

Liang Weijia, vice president of the Hong Kong Talent Management Association, said that there are differences in job pay in the Mainland, different types of work and regions. For example, the labor in Shenzhen must be slightly higher than that in Guangzhou, while the labor in Huizhou and Zhongshan is lower, so it is difficult to generalize. Regarding the attractiveness of Hong Kong’s employment in the north, Mr Leung said that there is no doubt that there will be a gap between the employment of Mainland institutions and working in Hong Kong. However, in the past one or two years, the gap will narrow, as the Mainland’s salary increase is larger than that of Hong Kong. According to the survey data, the average salary adjustment of 96 Hong Kong respondents in this year (July 2018 to June 2019) ranged from 3.9% to 4.1%, while the average salary adjustment of 58 urban institutions in Guangdong Province ranged from 5.4% to 6.8%.

Mr Leung mentioned that some organizations in the Mainland provide staff with “food and food” and the living index is lower than that of Hong Kong. Therefore, even if the labor is lower than Hong Kong, the actual amount of savings can not be too far. “The monthly income in Hong Kong is 15,000 yuan. However, the fee may reach 10,000; the monthly income of 8,000 in the Mainland may be only 4,000 because of the low standard of living.”

Multi-company stop recruitment Air transport hotel invites people to be low

Huang Yuzhen, vice president of the Hong Kong Talent Management Association, pointed out that the revision of the storm will have a negative impact on salary adjustment next year, and it is expected that the salary increase will fall. Huang also said that in October and November, the recruitment season was high. However, many companies have stopped recruiting projects, especially in the recruitment of aviation, transportation and hotels.
